WHO WE ARE
The challenges to Africa’s development are enormous and daunting. They traverse a whole gamut of issues including political, economic and social. These bring to the fore the issues of leadership failures manifested in the inability of governments across Africa to deliver development to the citizenry.
As a result, Africans live in lamentably poor conditions essentially due to the irresponsibility of government. The situation has steadily encouraged corruption, all shades of militancy and restiveness and an entrenched laissez-fair culture that now are huge factors in diminishing values and standards all over the continents.

PEACE BUILDING (Youth Empowerment):
Peace can be likened to a state of well being where things are in order. Propagating peace in Nation Building is critical, because without peace, there can’t be meaningful development. Since Nigeria’s population has more youths, empowering the youths is vital in the Nation’s peace building plan. Basically, VREI works to achieve peace by empowering the youths and giving them voice. This we achieve through the following means;
CIVIC EDUCATION:
It becomes critical for a nation that will perform to its optimum to have room for civic education. This is because people behave largely in proportion to the level of knowledge they have about themselves, societies and institutions. Civic education empowers people to be well informed, active citizens and gives the opportunity to change the world around us. It is a vital part of democracy and equips people with the knowledge about democracy and the constitution. It teaches people how to be responsible citizens and develop patriotism in hearts. Civic education is important to make people powerful and capable of creating a democratic society and participating to the fullest in a democratic society. For us at VREI, we see this as a crucial aspect to focus on by educating citizens in the right order in line with best practices as adequate and relevant information glorifies and makes for noiseless breakthrough for any people.
GOVERNANCE:
this entails the leadership of a nation, the people and institutions across board. Leadership in Africa in general and Nigeria in particular has been under a serious siege of maladministration over the years. As such, in line with our mandate, we’re out to build the old waste places, raise up foundations for many generations, repair the breach and restore the paths to dwell in. At VREI, we believe that poor governance is indeed a bane to livelihood in its entirety, including corruption and related vices. We are certain that the practice of just and democratic governance rests on the pillar of participation, justice, democracy and accountability. We also examine the possibility for accountable and inclusive governance, access to justice and a viable society. These we do by ensuring;
ENVIRONMENT:
The Nigerian environment as the name connotes has suffered a lot, particularly in the Niger-Delta region where oil that is supposed to be a blessing to people has become a major challenge to its people. This is occasioned by insensitive government and her policies, we at VREI therefore seek to intervene in entrenching due order as the practice is in other climes where the dignity of the human person is not trampled upon by careless leaders unabated. We have also been using practical solutions to create awareness on climate change, stop gas flaring in the Niger-Delta, and provide safe water, effective sanitation and hygiene to the rural poor in communities across the Niger-Delta.
